Basketball League Continues Despite Boycotts by Big Clubs
Several big teams continue to stay away from the 2018 Liberia Basketball League season though the championship is continuing at the Sports Commission on Broad Street.
Invincible Eleven (IE), NPA Pythons, and Monrovia Sky Force are among top clubs that have not shown up for their last two fixtures.
The clubs were due to play respective opponents at the weekend, but those matches did not come on.
Despite their stay away, few matches continue to go ahead at the Sports Commission.
At the weekend, champions, LPRC Oilers had their first match of the season winning Mighty Barrolle, 105-69 points at the sports commission.
The league according to the Liberia basketball Federation will continue Wednesday with more games at the Sports Commission.
Dream Team 1 and Harbel Pointers are to meet in the day’s biggest fixture.
Before that, Vision will chase Fire in the third division in game one.
Supreme Brothers and Hearts will clash in game two, Du-Runners and Star 1will meet in game three.
There are reports that several clubs owners are keeping their teams away because they are not happy with the Rufus Anderson’s Leadership.
