‘We Will Hold CDC-Led Government Feet To The Fire’

Three opposition political parties have vowed to jointly collaborate in scrutinizing the CDC-led government as it leads for the next six years.
In a joint statement issued in Monrovia Monday, the three opposition parties said they have reached a decision to jointly hold accountable the George Manneh Weah administration for whatever flaws in democratic governance his government will create.
The statement which was signed by the Unity Party (UP); the Alternative National Congress (ANC) and the Liberty Party (LP) is also calling on the CDC-led government to among other things, to champion the evolution of democracy in Liberia.
“While all three (3) parties will maintain their independent identities and leadership, we will collaborate to articulate common solutions and alternatives to our country’s challenges. We will also collaborate to hold the CDC-led Government accountable to our constitution and people,” the statement revealed.
The Statement furthered, “Subsequently, the political leaders from the three collaborating parties will meet along with the legal and other appropriate teams to work out the legal framework and other political modalities. We thanked all of our partisans and all Liberians for their belief and support and call on other well-meaning parties to join ranks.”
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the ruling Coalition For Democratic Change Mulbah K.Morlu Jr.has vowed to address what he called “diabolic resurgence” at a press conference slated for Tuesday, June 5th, 2018.
