Liberia Kickball Inducts New Leadership Friday
The president and officials elect of the Liberia kickball federation will tomorrow be inducted for a four-year tenure.
The induction ceremony takes place at the Samuel Kenyon Doe Sports Complex in Paynesville.
Emmanuel Surprise Whea will be inducted as President of the Liberia Kickball Federation taking over from Yourvor Kollie who has been in charge of kickball sport for the last eight years.
Others to be inducted include, Solomon Opelo Ward, Vice President for administration, Evan Soma, Vice President for operations, Milton Padmore Secretary-General and Abu Fofana, Assistant Secretary-General.
Grand Bassa County senator and a former kickball star Nyongblee Karnga Lawrence will serve as keynote speaker, while Montserrado County District 13 Representative Saah Joseph will induct the officials.
The Induction Committee Co-chairman Aries Padmore told The Monrovia Times that at the ceremony, a rally to give financial support to the kickball sport will be held.
The rally will be launched by Montserrado County senatorial candidate Mark Keshen, alongside former House Speaker Emmanuel Nuquay, and Floyd Tomah.
The ceremony will be graced by a host of other personalities including Senatorial Aspirant Josephine Francis, Representatives Ivar Jones, Samuel Enders, Francis Young, Rustonlyn Suacoco Dennis, Ben A. Fofana, Dr. Kemmie Weeks among others.
The Liberian National Olympic Committee (LNOC) and the Youth and Sports Ministry will make special remarks at the occasion.
