The Liberia Water and Sewer Corporation has announced the connection of two thousand and fifty communities across Monrovia under its social connection program.
Acting Liberia Water and Sewer Corporation Managing Director, Dan Saryee told a news conference Monday that the project will also connect four hundred communities in Buchanan, two hundred in Grand Gedeh and two hundred in Kakata.
Dan Saryee noted that the project is funded by the African Development Bank.
Saryee added that the project is aimed at alleviating the constraints faced by Liberians while acquiring safe drinking water from the corporation.
He revealed that the LWSC will properly scrutinize individuals over their financial potency in order to extend to other communities.
“Those who will be our direct beneficiary will be selected base on an agreement of consent that they will sign with us.”
He mentioned that as part of the effort to publicize the project, the LWSC will do more media engagement in the community so as reach out to abandoned communities in the country.
