Local Farmers to Benefit From Agriculture Development Conference
The Liberia Agricultural Commodity Regulatory Authority (LACRA) has disclosed plans to have farmer’s conference that will trigger collaboration in the sector.
The conference which is expected to take place shortly will help farmers to know mechanisms and frameworks that will give rise to farming activities in line with international regulations.
LACRA holds the belief that the planned conference will further educate farmers on the use of the agriculture tools and equipment during farming.
Meanwhile, Solidaridard has expressed willingness to be part of such an arrangement aimed at the total improvement of Liberia’s agriculture sector.
The disclosure was made recently at the Palm Spring Hotel in Congo Town.
The forum was organized by Solidaridard for Agriculture Improvement Plan for Sustainable Development. Solidaridard is an international organization that is involved in the training of farmers in the agriculture sector.
LACRA was represented by the Chief of Operations, Musa Konneh who is also Deputy Director General for Operation and Technical Services and the Director for operations, Mr. Kafuma Kenneth at the meeting.
Konneh, however, said he is pleased with the collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture and other partners in line with the entity’s scopes of operation.
He said his entity will work will all partners in making the agriculture sector is dependable in producing food for the country, especially the Cocoa and Coffey sector.
According to him, the institution is committed to Revamping LACRA and to make it investment friendly.
