The Bong County Service Center (BCSC) through the Liberia Revenue Authority has in three months period raised the amount of four million two hundred thirty- eight thousand three hundred sixty- eight dollars thirty-three cents L$4,238,368.33) along with five thousand two hundred and twenty- five United States dollars (US$5,225.00)
Making the disclosure in Bong recently, the Coordinator of the Bong County Service Center, Jefferson Gbaryan said the amount was raised between the months of April to June 2018 in the county.
Mr. Gbaryan said the total end users accounted for are Seven hundred and sixty-five persons, adding that five hundred twenty-four are male and two hundred and six are female and thirty- five couples.
He narrated that out of the seven hundred and sixty-five end users, the entity was able to get one hundred and seventy persons from the Ministry of Transport that raised the amount of two million five hundred and seventy-seven thousand eight hundred eighty-one Liberian dollars and two thousand nine hundred and seventy- five United States Dollars.
According to him, the Center has not been able to offer ECOWAS Biometric Identification Cards, Adult Birth Certificates, Ministry of Post and Telecommunication, Forestry Development Authority, Printing of Drivers Licenses, Western Marriage Certificates and the Alternative Medicine and Divorce Certificates respectively.
Meanwhile, Mr. Gbaryan has called on the National Government to provide the Center with a Utility Vehicle in other to enhance the work of the service center at the community level and at the same time urged the Ministry of Commerce and Industry to decentralize the printing of certificate in the county at the County Service Center for the consumption of the end users.
He expressed the need for the Ministry of Land Mines and energy to be added to the county service center for more income generation. The Bong County Service Center was established by an act to delivered services to the people of the county and its surrounding counties.
