UNDP Donates 153 Sets Of Uniform To LNP


At least 153 sets of uniform have been donated to the Liberia National Police (LNP) by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

Making the donation recently at the LNP’s headquarters in Monrovia, UNDP Country Director, Dr. Pa Lamin Beyai described the uniform as a symbol of trust and authority in the discharge of once duty.

He said the move is intended to empower and build the capacity of men and women of the police force of Liberia.

Receiving the sets of uniforms, LNP Inspector General Col. Patrick Sudue lauded UNDP and other partners for their continuous support to Liberia’s police force, stating that, the government is well pleased with such partnership.

According to Col. Sudue, for too long the government have been challenged with providing funding to support the police logistically; stating that, the donation is very timely for the institution.

He said the gesture will add value to the LNP as officers feel honored when neatly dressed to execute their respective duties.

“We at the LNP do appreciate this gesture and we can assure you, this gesture will be used for its intended purpose,” Col. Sudue averred.
