LFA Investigates Three Senior Employees For Corruption Following A Leak Audio

Reports emanating from the headquarters of the Liberia Football Association says three senior staffers are been investigated over a leaked audio recording in which they revealed that the financial system at the football house is been ruined due to several corrupt practices.

In the leaked audio recording, the trio, Jallah Corvah, LFA Treasurer, James Payne, Accountant, and Account Officer Joseph Sherriff are heard admitting to financial frauds within the LFA.

Payne and Corvah can be heard accusing each other of undermining and involving in corrupt practices.

James Payne accused Jallah Corvah of destroying the LFA financially.

The Liberia Football Association Secretariat recently set up a special committee to probe into the matter.
According to the report, several conferences have been held by the special committee with the three staffers explaining what they know about the recording.

Findings from that special committee will be sent to the LFA ethics committee for further investigation.

The three, Jallah Corvah, LFA Treasurer, James Payne, Accountant, and Account Officer Joseph Sherriff are yet to be suspended as many have anticipated.

In recent times, allegations of corruption surfaced at the LFA with several questions about the disappearance of six hundred thousand United States dollar ($6000.00 USD) left unanswered.
