Female Humanitarian Receives Best Humanitarian Of The Year Award
A female humanitarian from Panta District in Bong County, Madam Marvelene L. Sodone has received the best humanitarian of the year award in Montserrado County.
Madam Marvelene, wife of the Chief Executive Officer of the Sodone Foundation in Liberia Fred T. Sodone was honored by the Happy Family Debate Network (HFDN) in collaboration with the Attractive Base Intellectual Forum (ABIF) at the Attractive Base Intellectual Forum, St. Francis Road Community in Paynesville outside Monrovia over the weekend.
The ceremony brought together Intellectuals, Students, Media outlets and ordinary Citizens amongst others. The annual award bestowed on Madam Marvelene according to the groups was in recognition and appreciation of her valuable services to humanity in Liberia and the World at large.
Presenting the Certificate of honored on behave of the groups, the Executive Director of Happy Family Debate Network (HFDN) Abu Zeto Kamara, Jr. said their decision to bestow madam Marvelene was based on her devoted, dedicated, moral and financial contributions to the human resource development of Liberians throughout the Country.
”We the Executives and Members of the Happy Family Debate Network in collaboration with the Attractive Base Intellectual Forum in Monrovia deemed it necessary to present the annual award to you as the best humanitarian of the Year” he narrated.
According to him, the honoree during the year under review provided vacation jobs, financial aid, Scholarships to less fortunate students and also played an advocacy role.
Abu Zeto Kamara Jr. described Madam Marvelene as a committed and dedicated honorable person in the Liberian society who is contributing to the lives of Liberians from diverse sectors, adding that her support to Citizens in the Country remains endless.
He added that the honoree supported and continues to support less fortunate Students in several Universities in Liberia including the United Methodist University (UMU), Stella Maris Polytechnic and Cuttington University respectively.
Mr. Kamara, Jr. stated that during the honoree studies in Liberia and abroad, she stood by other Liberians to seek higher education.
For her part, the honoree Marvelene Lepukoi Sodone in her acceptance speech said she was glad to be honored thus extending thanks and appreciation to the two Intellectual Entities for the honor bestowed upon her as the best humanitarian of the year.
She revealed that the Sodone Foundation is a charity Organization in the vanguard of providing financial Aid and Scholarships to students desirous of acquiring higher education in this economically struggling nation.
Madam Marvelene Sodone then reaffirmed her commitment and unwavering support to Liberians for the overall improvement of the Country.
She at the same time used the occasion to dedicate the Award to her husband, Fred T. Sodone the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Sodone Foundation in Liberia. Madam Sodone also presented ten thousand Liberian Dollars to the group as her own way of identifying with them.
