“False And Misleading” Government Rubbishes Rumor of Presidential Press Secretary Sam Manneh Suspension
Following claims and counterclaims of suspension hanging over the Presidential Press Secretary Sam Manneh, the Government of Liberia has broken silence on the suspension rumor of Mr. Manneh, terming the allegation as false and misleading.
The government clarifications come in the wake of widespread speculations that the Presidential Press Secretary was suspended for allegedly gossiping about the President.
But Addressing the MICAT regular press briefing Thursday, Deputy Information Minister Eugene Fahngon noted that Mr. Manneh still remains the legitimate Press Secretary to the President contrary to media reports.
Minister Eugene Fahngon at the same time called on those spreading false information on social media to desist and seek the proper information.
However, the Deputy Information Minister reminded critics of the role play by the government in the recent suspension of former Deputy Commerce Minister Madam Wollokollie adding that the CDC led government will communicate any information of suspension to the public.
