For Obtaining 54m From China: CDC Youth-Wing Salutes Weah
The Revolution Youth – Wing of the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) has applauded President George Manneh Weah for securing a 54 million United States Dollars grant from the People’s Republic of China.
According to the CDC Youth-wing, the move of the Liberian leader to secure up to 50 million dollars grant is in the best interest of the country and should be welcome by all Liberians.
Addressing a news conference in Monrovia Wednesday, September 5, 2018, the ruling party youth-league said, it is totally shameful for some Liberians to criticize the President for not lobbying for more than what was given to the government by the Chinese people.
The CDC Youth-wing claimed, President Weah has over the last six months in power shown himself to be a leader that will in no way work against the interest of his people but will always demonstrate love for country over personal interest.
“We want to tell all our critics out there that President George Manneh Weah will definitely succeed and we are calling on everyone to join him in making this country better,” the CDC Youth – Wing Vice Chairman, Emmanuel Swen told journalists.
The CDC Youth-league furthered thanked all those who recently joined the party, stating that, their action is in the best interest of the country.
“We encouraged more people to join the CDC so that together we can all propagate the agenda of this government. In as much as we accept criticism, it is also important that we join forces so that we can move this country forward,” he added.
