Woman Killed, Parts Missing In Bong -As Fear Engulf Residents
Police in Bong County has launched an investigation into the ritual murder of Watta Binda a resident of the County.
Watta Binda’s lifeless body was found with parts missing on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at her backyard in Gbartala, Yelequelleh District, Lower Bong County.
Our Bong County Correspondent says there has been no arrest so far but the Bong County Police Detachment of the Liberia National Police has since launched an investigation into the matter.
The situation has brought total fear among residents of Yelequelleh District many of whom are grieving over the death of Watta.
Some eyewitness who knew the victim told our Bong County Correspondent that she was a very potential lady and was always willing to learn.
Meanwhile, the Mano River Union Youth Parliament Bong County chapter has given two weeks to the Police to investigate the matter and bring perpetrators to justice.
Kusee Armstrong and Jutomue Daigai Mulbahof the Parliament speaking to our Correspondent expressed regret over the death of Watta Binda and described the situation as a sad day for Yelequelleh District and Bong County.
Mr. Armstrong and Mulbah stated that the issue of atrocity needs to be abolished in Liberia.
According to him, justice delay means justice denies and if the Police should be seen as good People in Liberia, they need to quickly investigate the matter.
He, at the same, time called on youths of the District to remain calm and help the Police to facts find the situation.
