LFA “Special” League Roundup As Barrolle and IE Suffered Defeats

The Liberia Football Association Special league continued Monday with second division actions at three venues.

The Monday’s encounters serve the defeats of both Mighty Barrolle and Invincible Eleven IE.
At the Nancy B. Doe Stadium in Kakata Mighty Blue Angels collected their first win of the competition with a 1-0 win over Mighty Barrolle.

Joe Reeves 45th-minute goal was enough to land the Blue Angels their win.
The win for the Blue Angels comes after the technical staff was threatened with dismissal if they failed to win their next three matches.

At the same venue, the lower Margibi county rivalry match between Tony FC and Bristol FC ended 1-1.

Former River Gee County mask-man, Abraham Kamara scored in the 18th minutes to hand Bristol the lead, but Margibi County striker Aaron Halley leveled for Tony FC 11 minutes after halftime.

In Sanniquille city Nimba County, Nimba Kwadoe continued their winning form at home with a 2-0 defeat to Invincible Eleven IE.

That defeat means IE is still without a win in the competition after five matches.

At the ATS, Junior Professionals forfeited yet another fixture, as they failed to show up for their fourth match of the competition.
They forfeited to Pags FC in what should have been the last match at the ATS.

Before that, Srimex FC suffered a 4-1 defeat at the hands of enterprising Freeport FC.All five goals came in the second half.

The first match at the ATS ended 1-1 between Jai FC and Gardnerville FC.
On Sunday in the first division, LISCR FC 26 games unbeaten run was ended by a spirited LPRC Oilers, managed by a former LISCR FC player and Coach, Cooper Sannor.

That win sees the Oilers climbed at the top of Group B on 10 points after five matches, while LISCR FC dropped to the third spot on eight points.
Nimba United beat Keitrace FC 1-0 to move second on the table on 9 points.

In Group B, BYC took charge of the group with a 0-0 draw against bottom side Small Town FC.
Club Breweries lost to Jubilee FC 1-0 to remain in second in the group on eight points.

Meanwhile, round two in the LFA special knockout competition will kick off Wednesday with several fixtures.

NPA Anchors will face 3rd Division Ambassador FC in game one.
Bea Mountain FC and Nimba United will clash in game two.
Watanga will face Muscat FC in game three, while Nimba Kwado will meet Jubilee FC in the late match.
