The President of the Liberia Football Association (LFA) Mustapha I. Raji has appointed a new leadership team to manage the affairs of the Montserrado County Sub Association with immediate effect.

The LFA Boss appointed former officials of the disbanded ULFACOM (Union of LFA Subcommittees) to take charge of the grass-roots league in Montserrado County.

Mr. Raji appointed Sando Fahnbulleh as Chairman, while ULFACOM’s former Chairman Richard Howard was named as Deputy Chairman, former Logan Town Sub-Committee, Chairman Harrington Weah Secretary-General and Thomas Davies Financial Secretary.

In separate letters of appointment, Mr. Raji said the individuals’ appointment is based on their numerous sacrifices for the development of football in Montserrado County and Liberia at large.

The new leadership team is to organize the national 3rd division and grass-root championship leagues across Montserrado County annually according to the LFA President.

They are to also coordinate activities of the Montserrado County FA in consultation with the President and Secretary General of the LFA.
The four newly appointed officials were removed from their respective positions over a year ago by the Musa Bility Leadership following a disagreement over the management of funds collected during the third division activities.

The four were key campaigners for the Mustapha Raji’s quest for the LFA Presidency.

Report from the LFA says there are more appointments expected shortly from the LFA President including the appointment of a new Secretary General and deputies.
