“President Weah Is Responsible For Missing Money Containers” Representative Kolubah Asserts

Montserrado County District #10 Representative, Yekeh Y. Kolubah has blamed President George Manneh Weah for the missing of money containers at the Freeport of Monrovia and the Robert’s International Airport (RIA).

Speaking to journalists in Monrovia Wednesday, September 19, 2018, Representative Kolubah claimed that the president is in the full knowledge about the missing money containers and is calling on Liberians not to be ‘mislead’ about the government position on the matter.

He described the ongoing investigation conducted by the government to apprehend those behind the missing money containers as a “calculated political delay and an attempt by the executive branch of government to bury the actual story behind the stolen money.”

According to Representative Kolubah, monies printed and brought into the country are done through the acquiescence of the president who is always in the loop as to the financial status of the country.

He said it is absolutely impossible for a forty-foot container of money to leave either of the entry points of the country without senior officials of government in the know.

He maintains that the president cannot detach himself from these missing containers of money saga, stating that, “the Liberian people deserved to know the true story behind the missing containers.”

The Montserrado County Lawmaker is meanwhile calling on President George Manneh Weah to forsake his going to the UN General Assembly until he addresses himself to the ongoing situation in the country.

Meanwhile, former President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has since distanced herself from the missing money saga, stating that, her government at no time experiences the missing of money containers from either of the major entry points in the country.
