Ahead of the 2018 National County Meet, the office of Margibi County Senior Senator has disclosed plans for the improvement of the Nancy B. Doe Sports Stadium in Kakata.

The Administrator in the office of Senator Oscar A. Cooper disclosed that the Senator is working on plans for the construction of an inner fence. Mr. Gabriel Nyumah narrated that his Boss in recent time sent architect on the Stadium to conduct a survey.

According to him, the architect following the survey compiled a report and presented it to his office indicating that they will begin working towards the implementation of the project soon.

According to him, the Senator also has plans for the construction of seating capacities, but the most urgent one is the inner fence because it qualifies the County to host the National County Meet.

Mr. Nyumah stated that if the County qualifies to host the National County Meet, it will be a help to the Margibians because marketers will be able to generate money from their local businesses during the time of the County Meet. He explained that the fencing project will be followed by the construction of seating capacities that will host spectators and match officials among others.

Meanwhile, Mr. Nyumah on behalf of the Senator presented four (4) sets of Jersey worth US$140 to FIFA Referees in the County. He noted that the donation came in the wake of a request made by the Referees to the Senator for assistance.

He narrated that the Senator is contributing to Sports because it brings the young people together and also unites people.

Receiving the Jerseys on behalf of his colleagues, Referee Doe Brown thanked the Senator for identifying with them stating that his team is glad that Senator Cooper has fulfilled his promise.
