For Attempting To Kidnap Daycare Student, Police Arrest Two In Bong

Police in Bong County have arrested two suspects for allegedly kidnapping a daycare student in Gbarnga.

According to the regional commander of the Women and Children Protection Division of the Liberian National Police Bong County Detachment Jerri Holder, suspects Peter Kollie was arrested on Monday, October 1, 2018, about 11: 45 am when he had gone to kidnap little courage Flomo from the Newborn Christian daycare school in Gbarnga.

Peter Kollie a resident of Gbalatuah, Zota district#4 admitted going for little Courage Flomo but said he was sent by a man identified as Andrew Paye commonly known as “Kermue Jaie”.

Suspect Kollie who is believed to be in his early 18 noted that he was in route to the LPMC Community when he was asked by Andrew Paye to get Courage Flomo from the daycare school for an unspecified reason.

Instructors at the daycare school became to know when they interrogated suspect Kollie who had gone to kidnap little Courage.

“He came and asked us to allow student Courage to go with him, but because he appeared strange, we were eager to have asked him but his explanation did not add up and that’s how we got to know,” Nancy Korkollie the Proprietress of the Day Care School told our Bong County Correspondent.

For his part, suspect Andrew Flomo commonly known as Kermue jaie denied his involvement in the entire saga and said he doesn’t know Peter Kollie from anywhere.

According to him, he has been working on the LPMC compound and was shocked to have been arrested by the Liberia National Police.

Some citizens who spoke to The Monrovia Times said, suspect, Andrew Paye has allegedly been involved in the act of attempting to kidnap children in Gbarnga, an allegation that was denied by the suspect.

Meanwhile, the two alleged suspects are currently in Police custody in Gbarnga, Bong County awaiting court trial.
