Giving Hope To The Hopeless – As Hope Foundation Put Smiles On The Faces Of Kids In Monrovia

Local News

As part of efforts to support the famous Pro-poor Agenda of the CDC – led government, the Hope for the Hopeless Foundation has embarked on a community feeding program for kids in Montserrado County.

The Hope for the Hopeless Foundation is a local based humanitarian organization established for the sole purpose of giving hope to underprovided kids through several humanitarian means. It was founded by Mr. Chris Davies, a Liberian based in the United States of America.

On Saturday, October 27, 2018 the organization, following the launch of a feeding program for less fortunate kids, created one of the happiest moment for some children living in the New Georgia Estate Community.

Kids that attended the launching of the feeding exercise received a take-home packaged which contained rice, oil and fish.

Most of the kids were seen smiling while taking hold of the package and being escorted by their parent’s home.

A parent for one of the smiling kids, Mother Beatrice Gmatoh appreciated the leadership of the Hope for the Hopeless Foundation, stating that, the organization intervention is highly timely.

She claimed it still remains a major challenge for most Liberian parents to feed their kids due to the prevailing economic condition they are faced with.

She wants the organization to continue to carry out its feeding program, describing it as a great help to the children of Liberia.

“You know this is something that we never expected. If our children are fed on a daily basis, we will have no cause to worry,” Mother Gmatoh, 54, told journalists who provided coverage for the launching of the feeding exercise at the Gabriel Kpolleh Public School in the New Georgia Community.

“If we can have ten organizations like this one – which will be providing basic needs to the kids, our society will get better,” she added.

Making a brief statement on behalf of the organization Chief Executive Officer (CE0) and Founder, Chris Davies during the launch of the feeding program, Chris D. Daniels thanked the parents for bringing their kids for the program, stating that, they too have contributed to the feeding of their kids.

He said the Hope for the Hopeless Foundation is pleased with how kids are responding to the feeding program adding that the organization is contemplating extending the program to other leeward counties across the country.

“This is just the beginning, we are visiting every community in Montserrado County with this program and will extend to other counties in the soonest possible time,” he intoned.
