Renowned Liberian Business Man James Cooper has described as lies and visual attacked on his business, report that he absconded from the country over fear of court ruling.
James Cooper, CEO of the Cooper Farm and Cooper Rubber Processing Plant clarification comes in the wake of widespread speculation that is insinuated in the public against him, by Bomi Senator Sando Johnson.
Senator Johnson, recently took the airwaves in Monrovia specifically the Costa Show branding Mr. Cooper as a fugitive and an alleged criminal who is in the business of dubbing Banks of Loan.
Addressing a news conference over the weekend Mr. Cooper asserted that he left the country due to medical reasons noting that both the court and his lawyers were informed about his decision.
He indicated that there many foreign and local investors who are either leaving or afraid to invest in the country because of the attitude of the Senate’s Chair on Concession and Investment.
Mr. Cooper then questioned why Senator Sando Johnson who was elected by the people will choose to attack citizens who are bringing in foreign investors to create jobs for ordinary people.
“I am not deterred by the smear campaign against me; I will continue the job of Liberia by providing for jobs for the poor especially in Bomi county.”
He wants the President to intervene so as to save the economy of the country and create the enabling environment for investors to invest.
But when contacted over the allegation that he is undermining the investment climate of the country, Senator Sando Johnson phones were off and remained off up to press time.
