Muscat FC kicked of LFA National Playoff With Narrow Win

The 2018 Liberia Football Association National Playoff got off Saturday with Montserrado County big guns, Muscat FC narrowly winning Margibi County boys, Feel United at the ATS.

Muscat FC defeated the Kakata based 3rd division side 1-0 in the first leg of their two-legged playoff game.
Both sides will face off Tuesday at the Nancy B. Doe Stadium in Kakata in the return leg.

A 2-0 win for Feel United will see them progress to the second round while Muscat FC will get eliminated.

Muscat FC a former second division team is tipped as favorite to win the National Playoff, but their showing against Feel United Saturday has created doubts in the minds of bookmakers.

Muscat will have to avoid defeat in Tuesday’s return game if they are to advance to the 2nd round.

In Unification City Margibi County, Sandi FC defeated Montserrado County runner-up Paynesville FC 2-0 in the first leg.

The return leg will come on Tuesday at the ATS.

Matches in Grand Bassa and Sinoe counties failed to take place as the two visiting teams failed to show up, meaning the home sides automatically advanced to the 2nd round.

At the close of the National 3rd Division Playoff, three teams will be promoted to the second division.
