The Youth League of the Coalition for Democratic Change has called on officials of the government to desist from acts that are counterproductive to the Pro-Poor Agenda.
Speaking Monday at the Party’s headquarters in Monrovia, an Executive of the Youth League Emmanuel TT Swen also pointed accusing fingers at Public Works Minister Mabutu Nyepan, Post and Telecommunication Minister Cooper Kruah and many others as individuals who are undermining the Agenda of CDC.
He added that Works Minister Mabutu Nyenpan is allegedly damaging the homes of the poor people who strive to produce the Weah Presidency while Minister Cooper Kruah is reportedly supporting his daughter against the party’s choice “John Weah” in District 13.
Emmanuel TT Swen, Assistant Minister for Mines at the Ministry of Land and Mines noted that such acts amount to a betrayal of the Pro-Poor Agenda stressing that the Youth League will officially inform the President on the situation.
According to him, the Youth League has in her possession cogent information that the Works Minister Mabutu Nyenpan is allegedly supporting former Superintendent Romeo Quiah against the party choice in the Sinoe Senatorial By-election.
“We have also written the Chairman of the Coalition for Democratic Change, Mr. Mulbah Morlu about these clandestine behaviors of some of our government officials against the Party”
“They need to stop what they are doing or else we the revolutionary national youth league of the Coalition for Democratic Change will vehemently resist them” He intoned.
He made the assertion Monday at an elaborate news conference well attended by some youthful government officials including Monrovia City Mayor Jefferson Koijee, Grand Bassa Superintendent Janjay Baikpeh and Commerce Inspector General Josephine Davis.
However, all efforts to reach these Ministers prove futile as their phone remain off up to press time.
