CDC Youth League Congratulates By-Election Winner

Though the Coalition For Democratic Change (CDC) Candidate, John M. Weah didn’t succeed in replacing Senator Saah H. Joseph as Representative of Montserrado County Electoral District #13 following the just-ended by-election, the Youth League of the party has congratulated the winner, Mr. Edward Papay Flomo.

Mr. Flomo, 35, used to be a staunch supporter of the CDC until he was disposed-off the party following his decision to contest against the party chosen candidate.

Here now is the full statement of the revolutionary of Youth League of the CDC issued in Monrovia Thursday, November 22, 2018.

“The Revolutionary National Youth League of the Mighty Congress for Democratic Change (CDC) seizes this moment to congratulate Mr. Edward Papay Flomo on his victory in the just ended Montserrado District #13 By-Election.

The Youth League sees this as a victory for our democracy and wishes to commend all Cedecians and the great people of Electoral district #13 for exercising their democratic franchise by electing their choice. This is the democracy that martyrs cdecians laid their lives for and wherever they are today in martyrdom their soul is in a perpetual peace for the high-level democracy exhibited thus far under the leadership of President Weah.

Additionally, from all available data in our possession speak to the will of the people of electoral district #13 and with respect for such will; we are ecstatic to commend them for exercising their constitutional rights in electing their own and as the CDC been the ultimate respecter of people’s power is glad that we now have a pluralistic and competitive democracy in our country. A feat that couldn’t be achieved by the erstwhile.

Furthermore, we want to congratulate the president of the Republic of Liberia Amb. George M. Weah for been a Cedecian first before a president and continue to exhibit his unflinching support in promoting the party ideology. For his part, he sees the mighty Coalition for Democratic Change as the bastion of pluralistic democracy in Liberia and has continued to protect this idea of a free society where the decision of the people are not tampered with.

We thank our president for his blissful and determined leadership over the years.
Our party owes him an enormous depth of gratitude for ever believing in his party, we appreciate his continued commitment even when we were being branded negatively in opposition. He is the best experience all segments of our party had ever admired. We will never stop believing that fighting for what is right is worthy.

Nothing has made us ever prouder than to be our standard bearer and president of the Republic of Liberia.

With a stout cocksureness, we hold strongly that this act of pluralistic and competitive democracy that is been exhibited since the inception of the CDC’s led government is unprecedented and a testimony of our commitment as cedecians to see our motherland flourish. As we envisage of becoming an example of free democracy in Africa, we are optimistic that the people’s wills will be respected and cherished.

Notwithstanding, the Revolutionary National Youth League of the mighty Coalition for Democratic Change frowns on the diabolical and unsubstantiated claim attributed to our leader chairman Jefferson T. Koijee by Hon. Nyonblee Karngar Lawrence and the defeated Unity Party candidate Cornelia Kruah- Togba that he had “machetes and brutalized citizens “ doing the campaign altercation in New Georgia last Saturday.
The Youth League calls on the authority of the Liberia National Police to investigate the two aforementioned ‘liar in chief ‘to substantiate their unfounded and baseless allegation against our chairman. This dishonorable attitude of Madam Nyonblee Karngar Lawrence who supposes to be a senator or political Leader of the dead Liberty Party and a mother but finds pleasure in spewing out concocted lies and feeding herself with a wide allegation that she can’t prove is worrisome for a supposed to be an honorable woman. This action of Madam Lawrence and defeated Unity Party Candidate Cornelia Kruah- Togba has the proclivity to undermine our democracy and create chaos.

To conclude, the Youth League calls on all partisans most especially the young people and residents of District #13, Montserrado County to remain calm and see this as a victory for our democracy.

Done and issued on this 22nd Day of November AD 2018 by the mandate of the National Executive Committee of the Revolutionary National Youth League of the Mighty Congress for Democratic Change-CDC.

Behold…. Our time is now!!!
