Montserrado Kickball Team Stage Win Over Experienced Gbarpolu Kickball Team

The 2018/19 County Meet opening day was marred by excitements on the pitch as some of the favorites in the kickball event fell prey to their respective opponents, while others struggle to win.

Kickball title favorites, Nimba County struggled to win Sinoe County in game one at the Sanniquellie Sports ground.

Nimba County who are former Champions saw their 3-0 home-runs lead canceled out by Sinoe in the fourth innings but had to battle harder to score one last home-run in their fifth innings to win Sinoe 4-3.

Montserrado County for their part came from behind twice to force an extra inning against Gbarpolu County who were tip to win.

Montserrado County pulled three home-runs in the extra inning to win 6-3 after the regular five innings ended 3-3.

Another side many favored to be a serious challenger in the competition in kickball is Grand Cape Mount County, but they surprised Kickball followers on Sunday when they fell 1-2 home-runs to Grand Kru County in Kakata.

Margibi County whipped Lofa ladies lost 1-0 home-run.
River Gee pulled the biggest win in kickball as they did in football whipping Three times Champions Rivercess County 4-1 home-runs at the C.H. Duway stadium in Bomi County.

Host Bomi County suffered a 5-4 home-runs defeat at the hands of Bong in Group 2 opening game.

Grand Gedeh beat Maryland 4-1 home-runs in the only kickball fixture in Zwedru.
