C.H. Rennie Hospital Receives L$68,000 Worth Of Assorted Medical Supplies
Margibi County: In an effort to strengthen health care delivery at the government hospital in Kakata Margibi County, a humanitarian worker recently donated sixty-eight thousand Liberian dollars (L$68,000) worth of assorted medical supplies to the Charles Henry Rennie Hospital.
The CH Rennie Hospital caters to the health needs of people in Margibi and its region and have repeatedly complained over the lack of medical supplies to effectively run the facility.
Sylvester Morlue presenting the items said his gesture is gear towards improving the healthcare system of the county by providing medical supplies to aid the hospital in its service delivery. “Well, my motivation for providing this little medical supply and drugs to C.HRennie Hospital is based on the fact that firstly I am a born son of Kakata, Margibi and secondly based on purely humanitarian gesture”.
The medical supplies is intended to treat emergency cases, children that are in the pediatric wall with malaria and pneumonia and including patients who undergo surgery among others.
“If we can provide these little things that can help at least one or two patients that will go withlittle illness and they can be healed from what we provide, it is our way of giving back to thepeople of the County “.
As part of the Christmas celebration, Mr. Morlue noted that helping others find solution to health needs through such activity is worth noting that he and his family will go beyond and aid the less fortunate and young people in the county.
Mr. Morlue pledged his unflinching support to catering to the health needs of people within the county promising routine visits to the facility, and needful donation to strengthen the hospital.
Receiving the supplies, the administrator of the C.H. Rennie Hospital Mr. Saywala Mulbahthanked Mr. Morlue for the gesture and at the same time promised to use the items for the purpose intended.
Mr. Mulbah complained of the frequent lack of medical supplies and other essentials for operation which he stated that patients are sometimes referred to purchase drugs outside the hospital.
He called on others to follow the good will of Sylvester Morlue in order to improve the county health care system and save the lives of the larger citizenry.
