Bong County: It was a scene full of the milk of human kindness on Christmas day in his native Zebey town, Kpaii District when the Chief Patrons of the Sodone’s Foundation Fred T. Sodone and Marvelene M.H. Sodone honoredthe jovial season with residents of the community and its vicinity.
As part of the commemoration, a gargantuan football tournament was organized in honor of Mr. & Mrs. Sodone at the Zebey playing page in Kpaii District.
Towns that participated in the tournament include; Zebey, Nyewolo, Zebey-Monrovia, Gbarnya-Ta, Palala, Beleganla and Too-Ta.
Though the tournament had no loser, but host Town “Zebey” and Palala emerged as first and second winners respectively, thus taking home separate cash accolades of seven thousand and six thousand Liberian Dollars congruently.
The remaining towns walked away with four thousand Liberian Dollars each, as a means of valuing their participations in the daylong tournament.
As part of efforts by the Sodone’s Foundation to keeping the community and its surroundings lively, CEO Fred T. Sodone and wife MarveleneM.H. Sodone committed themselves to organizing similar extravaganza in December every year.
In continuation of the Christmas merriment, the two young couple distinctly presented gigantic Christmas gifts to scores of children in the community and its environs who had come to revel the day with them.
Fred and wife Marvelene believed spending the Christmas with their people at home was necessary because it was the easiest way to meet and interact with everyone.
The Sodone’s Foundation patrons who are currently on their usual year end break have prior to Christmas donated several medical and school materials, including clothes and beddings to health facilities and schools in Kpaii District, Bong County.
In Palala, Mr. & Mrs. Sodone presented 200 large size copy books, pens and colorings including 20,000 Liberian Dollars to the administration of the Nyaquoi Bee High School as transport fare for the Saturday classes of 12th graders of the school.
In Kpaii town, the Kpaii Clinic received assorted medical beddings, while Lao Town and Zebey received over 300 copy books and medical beddings including clothing for staff.
The Sodone’s Foundation Chief Executive Officers also made a presentation of copy books to the Nyofarkollie High school in Zowienta, Kpaii District in Bong County.
