Several Link To Corruption In Bong Sports Association
Bong County: Despite the elimination of Bong County from this year’s National County Sports Meet, some leaders of the County Sports Association seem to be in hot water for their alleged involvement in the mismanagement of twelve thousand United States Dollars ($12,000USD) in the county.
Those accused are Old Man Soko Siakor, Augustine Jallah, Salas Togbah and others for the alleged involvement in the mismanagement of twelve thousand United States Dollars intended for the Bong County Sports Association.
Following continuous cry from other technical members of the Sports Association and Players, authorities of the County have discovered that Old Man Soko Siakor, Augustine Jallah signed for twelve thousand United States Dollars to prepare for the County meet.
Reports indicate that the Executives have allegedly misused money.
But providing clarity about the 12,000 USD, Bong County Superintendent Esther Walker said she has no idea of the said amount been mismanagement by the Executive of the Sports Association of the county.
Supt. Walker stated that Mr. Siakor and Jallah illegally used their signature to sign for the twelve thousand USD from the Ministry of Sports under a false pretense in the county.
She added that those allegedly linked to the money will have their day in court to justify the usage of the County money.
When contracted one of the accused Executives of the Bong County Sports Association Augustine Jallah admitted of signing for a total amount of twelve United States from the Ministry of Youths and Sports in other to participate the county team for the 2019 National County Sports Meet in Liberia.
Mr. Jallah said the money was also used to transport the County team in Bong Mines for training sessions, feeding, and further transportation to Monrovia and back to Bong County.
