Monrovia: Montserrado District 7 Representative Solomon George has asserted that there are plans by the CDC led government to crown President George Weah as the first priest and prophet in the country.
He said those making mockery of the Liberian leader for establishing a Church are wasting their time while asserting that the President would have been hailed if he were to open a “Zoe Bush” for some ungodly people in the country.
He disclosed disappointment amongst opposition state actors over President Weah’s affiliation with the Masonic Order of Liberia and Preaching God Word at the same time.
The Grand Lodge of the Republic of Liberia is a fraternal organization based on the principles of Prince Hall Freemasonry.
He mentioned that President Weah decision to open a church has rendered them dismayed adding that he (the President) will continue to live for God unlike President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf and others who constantly visit the Zoe bushes.
Touching on the working of the legislature during its first sitting, Representative Solomon George expressed displeasure in the behavior of some of his colleagues in the lower House.
According to him, there are many lawmakers currently in the fifty-four (54th) legislatures especially the lower house who lacks the understanding of legislative politics stating that some see the House of Representatives as a place to enrich themselves.
Afraid to name a particular lawmaker(s), Rep. George alarmed that there are some of his colleagues who are engaged in sharing their staffers’ salaries for reason best known to themselves. “Why should I share the salaries of my staffers? Go and ask behind me, every cent they earned here belongs to them and I have no business of interfering because I see that as share wickedness,” he nipped.
Meanwhile, the CDC lawmaker has described his fellow Montserrado District Ten Lawmaker Yekeh Kolubah as “JJC”… JJC is “Jonny Just Come”, a Liberian jab referring to the lack of knowledge of an individual about a particular issue.
He added that Rep. Kolubah lack of legislative understanding has occasioned his unreasonable attacks against President Weah.
Rep. Kolubah has over the last one year as representative of District # 10 blasted the Weah led-government of missteps in handling the governance of the Country.
