The National Drugs Service has begun the distribution of medicine and medical supplies across the country.
The activities which began in the first week of February will cover all MOH approved health facilities in all the 15 counties.
In fulfillment of the Ministry of Health commitment to meet the Health needs of the Liberian people, critical life-saving Drugs are routinely distributed to key referral hospitals, health centers, clinics and other service delivery points across the country.
With the dispatch to Bong, Lofa and Nimba, facilities like Telewayon Hospital in Voinjama, Phebe and C B Dunbar Hospital in Bong as well as Ganta medical in Nimba county are expected to be served immediately.

Despite the challenges, the NDS/CMS with the support of critical donor partners remain committed to building and supporting a resilient healthcare system in Liberia. The Managing director of the National Drug service (NDS) now the Central Medical Stores (CMS) Hon. Boakai Boley extended thanks and appreciation to the President His Excellency Dr. George Manneh Weah for the support when he recently toured the Operationalized state-of-the-art warehouse.

He also thanked all those we are working tirelessly at the Ministry of health to ensure the availability of medicine to the public. He lauded the effort of all donors and strategic partners whose invaluable contributions make these deliveries possible.
Meanwhile, the National Drug Service is also making available some critical emergency drugs to stock the newly commission fleet of ambulances. For the first time in the first time in history the Ministry has successfully launched the Emergency Medical Technician program with ambulances to rapidly respond to 24/7 emergencies.
The director also thanked Minister Dr. Wilhelmina Jallah and CMO Francis Katteh for their visionary leadership in transforming the health sector.
