Oilers Getting Comfortable At Top Of League Table
Liberia Football Association 2019 First Division League Leaders Sensational LPRC Oilers continue their lead of the table Sunday with a 5-0 victory over Nimba FC at the Nancy B. Doe Stadium.
The L.P.R.C Oliers managed by former LISCR and BYC Coach, Cooper Sannoh won the match keeping their 11th clean sheets of the season.
The win keeps Oliers at the top on 33 points after 13 matches.
The Oilers have struggled to win the LFA top tier title for decades, but are hoping that that nightmare can end this season with Coach Cooper Sannoh in charge.
The Oliers are not just picking up victories, but they are doing so in style, dominating opponents and denying them of netting in goals.
Oilers remain five points at the top of the table with Sunday’s results.
BYC, who are the defending Champions, climbed to second with a 3-0 victory over NPA Anchor at the Blue Field in Central Monrovia.
The win gave BYC 28 points in 13 matches.
LISCR FC slipped down to third place after a 0-0 draw against Jubilee FC.
Watanga FC who dominated the early stage of the competition, continue their fight back to spot with a 2-1 victory over Monrovia Club Breweries.
Watanga remains in 4th spot with 25 points, eight points behind leaders, LPRC Oilers.
Nimba United who saw their manager Christopher Wreh resigned recently, staged a 4-1 win over strugglers Keitrace FC at the ATS.
Small Town continues their fight for survivor on a positive note with a 3-2 victory against fellow league strugglers FC Fassell.
