The administrator of the Bong County Health Team Jonah Nulee Togbah has described the recent donation made by two members of the Bong county legislature caucus as timely.
At can be recalled, two members of the Bong Legislative Caucus recently donated huge consignment of medical supplies to Bong Mines, Phebe and the C.B Dunbar Maternity hospitals in Bong County.
According to Deputy Speaker Prince Moye and Albert Hills the presentation was in response to the numerous public outcries about the shortages of meaningful hospital equipment for the smooth operations of the health facilities in Bong and parts adjacent.
They further said the medical supplies to the three government-run health centers in the County, are some of their returns benefits form their visit to the United States of America upon the invitation of a US Congress Man Eric Paulson in 2018.
The two Lawmakers recited that their visit to the United States was also intended to strengthen bilateral ties between Liberia and US congress man.
The Bong County electoral District#1 and District#2 Representatives said while in the US, they were able to lobby with International Partners and permanent Liberians residing in the US to help the Liberian health sector with medical supplies.
Additionally, the Lawmakers narrated that a son from Kokoyah District Dennis Garsini was very instrumental during the negotiation of a forty-foot container filled with medical items from a US-based company MATAL.
The lawmakers revealed that the donation is their own way of contributing immensely to the appalling health sector of the Country
Following the gesture of the two Lawmakers, the Bong County health Team Administrator has said it will greatly help the three hospitals to ease some difficulties that are facing the health sector in the county.
The Bong County health Team administrator further described the Electoral District #2 representative Moye as a partner to the Health Team in the county.
Mr. Togbah said since Hon Moye ascendency as Deputy Speaker at the National Legislature, he has been building clinics in his District and paying staff, thus leaving the County Health Team praises.
