Barely days to the much publicize “June 7 Save The State Protest”, one of Liberia’s biggest institutions; the Liberia Marketing Association (LMA) has distanced itself from the process.
LMA President Alice Gorpu Yeebahn made the disclosure in Kakata over the weekend at a groundbreaking ceremony for the renovation and modernization of the Kakata General Market.
Mrs. Yeebahn in her statement expressed that the Liberia Marketing Association wants peace because without peace donors will not be able to implement projects in Liberia.
“If you running here and there you will not see the people come and put their money here, the Marketing Association want peace in the Republic of Liberia” she lamented.
According to Alice Gorpu Yeebahn, she does not understand English as such; she does not know what is protest adding, ‘whether it is positive or negative I don’t know.
The LMA President explained that what she knows is peace and what she wants is development indicating that she does not want a change because change is different from development.
She said if change comes whether it will be positive or negative no one knows thereby stating that the Liberia Marketing Association wants development.
Madam Yeebahn meanwhile called on all Marketers across the Country to stay away from the June 7 protest.
