In Bomi County, Public School Teacher Dismissed For Allegedly Impregnating One Of His Students

The Bomi County School System has dismissed a classroom teacher for impregnating a student.

Bomi County Education Officer Everlyne Twein said instructor Mohamed Nyan was dismissed for violating the Code of Conduct of the Ministry of Education.

According to Madam Twein, the decision was reached following an investigation that established that instructor Nyein was in a relationship with the female student which resulted in her pregnancy.

The Bomi County Education Officer told The Monrovia Times that Nyan is one of those instructors eroding the reputation of the education system.

Also speaking, the Principal of the Bomi Junior High School, Esther Boimah said the impregnated student has been asked to leave the school.

Madam Boimah said it was regrettable for a teacher in her school to be involved in loving to a female student in the 8th-grade class that led to her getting pregnant.
