A 28-year-old green-eyed Man identified as Sulon Mulbah, has been arrested and charged by police in Bong County for gruesomely murdering his newborn baby mother, Hawa Gbokolo 22, a resident of Jarpkah Town in Sanoyea District.
The 28-year-old veteran palm-cutter and a professional wine tapper supposedly stabbed the young girl (Hawa Gbokolo) to death when they both met on a farm road in Sanoyea District and deserted her corpse in a nearby- swamp bush and then take his baby away.
Sulon Mulbah who was charged by the Liberia National Police on June 8, 2019, is presently in police custody at the Gbarnga Central Police Station pending court transfer on Monday, June 10, 2019.
The deceased was on her way from her farming spot with her week old baby, five (5) years old little brother and her older daughter when she met her untimely demise on Wednesday, May 29, 2019.
In a heated argument, Sulon Mulbah was said to have also expressed bitterness over his girlfriend returning home late as he was already seeing her with another guy.
In a shape of antagonism, he allegedly stabbed her with a knife two times but the sharp instrument couldn’t penetrate the girl.
According to the accused, he, later on, relinquished the knife and killed Hawa Gbokolo with his physical hands using her lapper, adding that they both spend three years together before killing her.
“I killed my newborn baby ma, because I suspected her of loving to my friend Archie Boy in Jarpkah Town during her pregnancy. Upon noticing said occurrence, I immediately forwarded his complaint to the town chief and the girl parents; but there was no intervention into my matter, Sulon Mulbah added.”
A previous allegation of unfaithfulness against his girlfriend was said to have resulted in a ferocious disagreement.
Murderer Sulon Mulbah accused the late Hawa Gbokolo mother and father of giving his baby mother to another man, adding that his in-laws are also responsible for the actions exhibited by him (Sulon Mulbah) in Sanoyea District, Lower Bong County.
According to our Bong County Correspondent, suspect Sulon met Hawa Gbokolo with another child whom he considered his; before been impregnated by him.
“I bought washing soap for her to wash my baby clothes, but she used it to wash her boyfriend Archie Boy clothes, she couldn’t sleep to my house again, but to her parent’s house with Archie, Sulon told newsmen”.
The 28-year-old said, he finally killed Hawa because of jealousy and a broken heart; maintaining that after the incident, he then reported himself to the LNP Depot in Sanoyea Town on May 29, 2019.
Sulon Mulbah at the same time used the medium call on the government of Liberia through the Ministry of Justice (MOJ) to provide any punishment for him for killing his girlfriend for what he considers as jealousy.
For his part, the Liberia National Police Bong County Detachment Crimes Service Division Commander Col. John Kellenson Flomo told journalists that upon hearing the horrific news from Sanoyea District on June 6, 2019, they immediately dispatched a team of investigators headed him to the crime scene.
He narrated that the remains of Hawa Gbokolo were turned over to family members for funeral arrangements; following a preliminary investigation by the team of jurors.
Col. Flomo added that the Liberia National Police took the alleged murderer to the Police headquarters in Gbarnga in order to avoid the act of mob violence by residents in Sanoyea District.
The Crimes Service Division boss averred that suspect Sulon Mulbah atlas Justice Mulbah willingly admitted to a team of LNP officers for carrying on the killing.
Mr.Flomo maintained that Archie Boy who is been accused by suspect Sulon of loving to his late girlfriend categorically denied the act when contacted by the LNP in Sanoyea District, Bong County.
