George Weah Son Timothy Weah Set To Transfer To Lille For 10 Million Euros.

Timothy Weah’s time at Paris St. Germain appears to be coming to a close. According to French outlet L’Equipe, the 19-year-old is set to move to Ligue 1 side Lille OSC for a fee of around 10 million Euros. According to the report, he would also sign a five year contract.

Timothy Weah was the talk of the summer last year when he got an opportunity with PSG with several of their stars away on World Cup duty. Despite scoring twice in three appearances, he was unable to stay with the first team once everyone came back. So he spent the fall largely training with the first team and occasionally playing with the reserves. This led to a loan to Scottish club Celtic FC. The loan was only moderately successful though. He played pretty well when he got on the field (scored four times in all competitions), but the playing time was sparse.

Lille could provide Weah with a terrific platform for growth. They finished in second place in Ligue 1 last season and will therefore play in Champions League next season. Hopefully he can take advantage of the move and continue his development as a player.
