LISCR FC has been crowned champions of the Liberia Football Association (LFA) Cup also known as the Knock Out championship.
The shipping boys achieved the feat yesterday at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS) after a sweet and convincing 2-0 win over rival, Barrack Young Controllers (BYC).
After a goalless first half encounter, LFA top goal scorer at the moment, Christopher Jackson, rattled the net for LISCR FC before Curtis Koon scored later on to end the match 2-0.
The match was also a revenge for LISCR FC, who was beaten by BYC 4-0 in last season’s final at the same venue.
LISCR FC was awarded L$650,000 as cash price, while BYC took home L$500,000 as cash price.
Meanwhile, in the Women’s Football category, Earth Angels dumped Blanco FC 5-0 to walked away with L$500,000 as cash price, while Blanco was awarded L$315,000 as cash price.
