BCTC’s President Honored
Bong County Technical College (BCTC), President Dr. Roland C. Y. Massaquoi has been honored and certificated by a pro-democracy group under the nomenclature ‘Patriotic Consciousness Association of Liberia (PACA).
Conferring the honor on Friday June 21, 2019 to Dr. Massaquoi at the campus of the College in Gbarnga, Bong County, the National Chairman of the high core political pundits Pro-democracy group E. Frederick Baye, disclosed that his organization was honoring the Bong County Technical College President based on his commitment to the educational Community in Bong County and the nation at large.
Mr. Baye at the same time described Dr. Massaquoi as an outstanding and definable fearless astute academician whose representation has exposed and prevented unworkable formula and placed blockage on unprecedented activities in the Liberian educational sector.
He added that the motive behind the honor is for PACA to purely testify without fear, sentiment or favor of Dr. Massaquoi’s but his continuous and unbending advocacy for social justice and equality education in Liberia.
Moreover, PACA chairman further indicated that the Bong County Technical College President has proven to be one of Liberia’s best educators in the Country.
“The PACA family is very pleased to bestow this honor and certificate Dr. Roland C. Y. Massaquoi for his outstanding roles in the Liberian educational sector,” Mr. Baye averred.
Receiving the honor, the Bong County Technical College President, Dr. Massaquoi extolled the organization for its farsightedness in recognizing his continuous stands against educational ills in the Country.
According to the Liberian veteran academician, his advocacy is intended for a better Liberia were equality education will be the hallmark of practices.
He stressed that it is now time that government and educational stakeholders engaged in practices that will bring about a transformative agenda which will eventually put into place the platform of equal education for all.
He, at the same time, warned young people especially University students to desist from vices that continue to undermine the emerging peace and democracy in the country.
