The website is expected to provide different kinds of corporate registrations information and will also help taxpayers directly apply for certificates and Articles of Incorporation with a user account.
Also speaking, the CEO of the Millennium Challenge Compact Liberia Office- Monie R. Captan called for a clearly defined financial sustainability plan to continuously make the two platforms usable for the public.
For his part, LBR Registrar General Samson Dee thanked His Excellency President George Weah for establishing the Business Climate Working Group which informed the establishment of the Website and Online Application.
He said People from Pleebo, Nimba, Lofa and all far to reach areas will no longer have to commute to Monrovia and bear the cost of importation and accommodation just to get registered or obtain Articles of Incorporation.
According to him, the idea is targeted limiting timeframe by using Innovative technological advancement to enhance service delivery through reduced human interaction.
And he also added that the effort is aimed at improving Liberia’s Business Climate in support of the government’s “Pro-Poor Agenda for Prosperity and development”.
Dee said that the online platforms will help reduce transportation constraints and human interaction; by affording clients the opportunity to access the LBR from any location.
He stressed that the operationalization of the website and the online Application is key to helping Liberia meet important global requirements necessary for doing business.
