BYC II 90 Minutes, A Point Away From 2nd Division Title


Barrack Young Controllers II Saturday moved within one point to winning the LFA 2nd Division title.

BYC II defeated Mighty Blue Angels 4-0 to open stay at the top of the league table on three points with a game in hand.

Jestino Jackson scored all four goals and missed a penalty as BYC II collected all three points at the Blue Field.
BYC II remains at the top on three points ahead of Bea Mountain who won for the first time in four matches.

Bea Mountain defeated relegation-threatened Bristol FC 4-1 to return to the second spot on 53 points with a match remaining.

Freeport FC defeated Srimex FC 3-1 at the ATS to take the third spot on 52 points.

Both Bea Mountain and Freeport FC have won their respective qualifications to the first division following Saturday’s results.
The two teams can only be overtaken in second and third by 4th place Gardnerville FC who cannot be promoted because they are a fielder side to LISCR FC.

In other results, Muscat FC defeated Gardnerville FC 3-0 to brighten their chances of winning promotion.

Saturday’s results took them to 5th spot on the table and will hope to win their last two remaining games and hope other results favored them.
Mighty Barrolle were whipped 2-1 by Jai FC in the ATS second match.
Tony FC beat Srimex 4-2 at the Nancy Doe Stadium.

The LFA Second Division league will continue Tuesday with BYC II looking for just a point against Muscat FC to win the title at the North Star stadium.
