The House of Representatives has mandated its committees on Ways, Means, Finance and Public Account to investigate national government’s payroll and report within one week.
The decision followed a communication from Montserrado County Representative Hanson Kiazulu who is requesting a full account of the payroll containing all government ministries and agencies.
Representative Kiazulu in his communication called on the plenary to invite Finance and Development Planning Minister Samuel Tweh to report on the matter.
The Lawmaker also appealed for an empirical analysis of the payroll from 2016-2017-2018 and 2019 budget years of government.
Representative Kiazolu explained that the report will help the house to make a determination concerning the challenges facing the Ministry and the Civil Service Agency.
The committees were asked to report to the plenary in one week after the Independence break.
