Ruling Party Lawmaker Solomon George Admits To Rampant Corruption In The Weah-Led Government

A CDC Lawmaker Solomon George has admitted to rampant corruption in the weah-led Government saying the Pro-poor administration has dashed the hope of the people.

Speaking Wednesday on a local talk show Representative George said the CDC-led government’s management of the country indicates that it has dashed the hopes of Liberians, noting the Weah-Taylor administration should not take Liberians for joke.

The CDC lawmaker also accused some current government officials of consistently deceiving the Liberian leader, describing them as strangers.

Representative George wants President Weah to take prompt action against government officials found in serious contradictions of its Pro-poor agenda.

He attributed the CDC’s defeat in the recent Montserrado County by-election to what he termed as making big promises and failing to fulfill such promises, referencing government’s pro-poor rice as an example.

Representative George also called on President Weah to seek the face of God for wisdom while administering the affairs of the state.

Meanwhile, Representative Solomon George is urging elders of the country to avoid pushing young people into violence and that young people themselves should desist from violence, adding everyone should fight to keep the country peaceful.

He further blamed VP Jewel Howard Taylor for the current misunderstanding between her and the President as well as the Liberia Marketing Association, describing her attitude as gross insubordination.

But in response, the Communications Director in the office of Vice President Solomon Ware refuted the claim, clarifying that VP Taylor is not responsible for the lawsuit.
