ArcelorMittal Liberia Honor

ArcelorMittal Liberia has received a certificate of honor from the Miraculous Institute of Professional Studies (MIPS) in Gbarnga, Bong County for his immeasurable support to humanity throughout Liberia.

The Miraculous Institute of Professional Studies was established in 2017 by and through visionary men and a lady with a passion for youth and young adult’s capacity development in the Country.

According to Albert B. Cole, the Administrator of MIPS it was registered and licensed by the Liberia Business Registry on January 2, 2019 and on January 9, 2019, adding MIPS commenced the pilot phase of its professional training programs and enrolled 30 students respectively.

The Bong County Student’s grouping bestowed the honor on Liberia Iron ore mining company as an outstanding institution of the year at the Gbarnga Administration Building in Bong County.

“ArcelorMittal honoring tracks back from his invaluable services rendered to citizens across Liberia and from the list of people honored, ArcelorMittal has been serving with passion and dedication and our evaluation conducted showed a huge impact made by the company in Bong County and the country at large,” the administrator of the MIPS, Albert B. Cole

Moreover, the Bong County students praised the company for his continuous support and commitment to educating more young people in Bong and the country at large.

“Your services are being recognized today by the student community in Bong County which comprises of seven (7) districts and we want you to do more,” MIPS Administrator Cole noted.

In response, the superintendent for local governmental affairs, Ambrose Gbomie lauded the students of MIPS for bestowing honors on him and assured them of his continuous support and commitment.

“We want to assure you that we will not be complacent in doing things that improve the lives of our people. We will maintain our partnership with the students’ communities while we do our work and also be very supportive,” Mr. Gbomie said.

He further mentioned that as part of efforts to boost the human resource capacity of young people, ArcelorMittal Scholarship is still running in the Country.

He assures the Administration of the Miraculous Institute of Professional Studies and students in Bong County that the Company will continue to stand by the student communities in the County and the Country to ensure that the best is achieved in the educational sector in Liberia.

ArcelorMittal is contributing to the Bong County Social Development Fund five hundred thousand United States Dollars.
