35 Billion New Currency Loading…?

Report reaching The Monrovia Times says Liberia President George Weah has reportedly written the House’s plenary seeking permission to print new currency in the tone of thirty-Five billion Liberian dollars
According to our sources, the president presented a communication to the House of Representatives on Wednesday requesting the house to approve the printing of the new currency in the amount of thirty-five billion Liberian dollars.
The request comes as the result of a consensus document adopted by stakeholders at the National Economic Dialogue held recently in Congo town.
The National Economic Dialogue (NED) amongst other things calls for the printing of new currency aimed at resuscitating the Liberian economy.
Our sources at the Capitol building said the President’s communication is yet to be read on the floor of plenary.
