Sulunteh Trashes Rumor Of Accepting Government Job In Bong

Former Liberia Ambassador and Bong County Senatorial hopeful Jeremiah C. Sulunteh has trashed rumor that he has accepted a governmental job in order to pull out of the pending 2020 election.

Ambassador Sulunteh said at no time he ever considered withdrawing from the upcoming 2020 senatorial election in exchange for job of any description.

The former Liberian diplomat admitted been engaged to aid the Liberian government in a number of foreign areas but said terms and conditions were not agreed.

He told his supporters not to be distracted by such rumor as no amount of political tactics will discourage him from participating in the 2020 electoral process in Bong County.

Ambassador Sulunteh indicated that the widespread rumor is the work of his opponents whom he said are uncomfortable with his presence in the process.

“I am confident by my decision to become a candidate for the ANC a party that is able and prepared to move this country forward in the right direction.

He assured his supporters that he will remain in the race until the National Elections Commission blows the final whistle in 2020.

The former Transport, Post and Telecommunication and Labor Minister have meanwhile promised to play a key role in the much talked about reconciliation of the county if elected senator in 2020.

He spoke in an interview with The Monrovia Times recently in Gbarnga.

It can be recalled that the Political leader of the ANC, Alexander C. Cumming endorsed the Bong County Senatorial hopeful Sulunteh in the County.

Observers say it’s a boost for the opposition parties as they look set to gain momentous support due to the influx of politicians and ordinary Liberians that are also pledging their support to the candidacy of Sulunteh.
